Thursday Morning Services

  • Thursday 8:30-12:00
    GAP Food Pantry offers non-perishable food items, fresh goods and toiletries based on family size and housing status. Persons who can cook receive enough food for several days. Persons without cooking facilities receive a bag lunch.

  • Thursday 9:00-11:30
    Everyone needs a birth certificate to establish their identity. We fill out the needed paperwork and pay the fees for persons born in the United States, or as American citizens overseas. Please bring all forms of photo identification that you have. We may also get marriage or divorce documents if they are needed to get a photo ID. If you have no ID, we may need for you to contact family members for assistance.ext goes here

    GAP drivers take applicants to the Department of Driver’s Services office to get their ID’s and pay all fees. If you do not already have an ID with a gold star to renew, you will need to bring specific forms of identification. Click on this link to get a list of what you can use.

  • Thursday 9:00-12:00
    GAP nurses provide assistance for persons who have no other way to pay for their prescriptions and give out over-the-counter medications as needed. All of our counselors are either registered nurses or pharmacists. We also help clients find ongoing sources of funds to pay for long-term medical needs.

  • Thursday 9:00-12:00
    Diapers sized 1-5 are sold for $1.00 for one week’s supply to eligible parents or caregivers. Clients must present documents verifying the child’s age.

    Adult briefs are distributed for clients with incontinence.

    GAP offers storage bins for homeless or insecurely housed persons who need a safe place to store their things. The bins are individually zip-tied and kept in a locked room.

    Women in poverty may miss work or school because they do not have monthly sanitary products. Once a month we supply these, as well as cleaning products and/or toiletries.

    • Free Cell Phones for qualifying persons

    • Counseling on Health Insurance and Medicaid for qualifying persons

    • Ryan White Van for HIV Testing on the 2nd Thursday

    • GA Dept. of Health information on Breast and Cervical Cancer on the 4th Thursday

GAP SUNDAY EVENING CHURCH:

GAP Ministries is also a church with a loyal and joyous congregation. Each Sunday evening at 6:00 pm there is a praise and worship service, with dinner served afterwards by members of GAP’s supporting organizations.
